Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2, 2026. These terms apply to your use of ameliaislandlocksmiths.com and to locksmith services requested from Amelia Island Locksmiths, 382 S Fletcher Ave, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, phone (904) 621-6480, email info@ameliaislandlocksmiths.com. By using the site or requesting service you agree to them.
The website
The content on this site describes locksmith services on Amelia Island, Florida, and the surrounding area, and is offered as is. We work to keep it accurate but do not promise every page is free of errors at all times. Links to other websites, including Google Maps, Wikipedia and the City of Fernandina Beach, are provided for convenience; those sites have their own terms and we are not responsible for their content.
Quotes and pricing
Every quote is itemized: the trip charge, the labor, the parts and any after-hours charge, based on the information you give the dispatcher. If the job at the door differs from what was described, the technician gives the revised items before starting and proceeds only with your agreement. Payment is due when the work is complete, for the total quoted or revised with your agreement.
Proof of authority
Before opening or rekeying a car, home, rental or business, the technician confirms that the person requesting the work is authorized: a photo ID with the address, a deed or lease, a booking confirmation together with the host or property manager, a vehicle registration, title or rental agreement, or the owner or a manager named on a commercial lease. We may decline a job when authority cannot be confirmed. Requesting service for property you are not authorized to access is a breach of these terms.
The work
Technicians open locks by picking or bypass whenever the lock allows it. Drilling is used only when a lock has failed and is explained before it happens. Hardware supplied by Amelia Island Locksmiths is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Workmanship problems that appear after a job should be reported by phone so the technician can return and correct them.
Cancellations
If you cancel after the van has been dispatched, the trip charge in your quote may still be charged. If a technician arrives and the job cannot be done for reasons outside our control, such as a lack of authority to proceed, the trip charge may be charged.
Limitation of liability
Amelia Island Locksmiths is insured for damage caused by its technicians in the course of the work. Beyond that, to the extent permitted by Florida law, our liability for any claim connected with the site or the services is limited to the amount you paid for the job in question.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute is to be brought in the courts of Nassau County, Florida.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the current version is always the one posted here with the date at the top.
